Late night vent…

This is a late night post, for the sole purpose of venting the frustration I have over the fact that I just spilled a full glass of milk all over my desk. Seriously, Google image search for “Glass of milk”, and the biggest one you see on that page was probably only half the size of the glass that was spilled.

I used my ShamWoW (and it’s imposter ‘Shammywow’) to clean up the mess, and let’s just say that it didn’t get all the milk out of the carpet like Vince did with Coke in the commercial. That brings the total number of products that I’m dissappointed with tonight to two. Milk and ShamWoW, why hast thou foresaken me?!

I just watched a good episode of Criminal Minds, I went for a nice relaxing cruise on the long board, I had just made some fresh salmon sandwiches (leftover from dinner), and thought:

“Gee, some milk would be awesome with this meal.”

Turns out I was sorely mistaken, and water definitely would have been a better selection, and I was so close to just foregoing the milk- it was like 3 feet away and in the fridge, but I thought I’d go the extra mile tonight and go with the 2% good stuff.

Let that be a lesson to you kids out there: NEVER go the extra mile. All you’ll end up with is a carpet soaked with milk and a bunch of gear that’s possibly ruined.*

I think there’s milk in my bed even…

*Just kidding kids, go the extra mile and send a $5 donation to “Get-Tom-His-Gear-A-Thon”, so that I don’t have to bother trying to clean all this stuff.**

**Nah don’t do that. But do go the extra mile and help someone out today. You’ll feel better about yourself.***

***Does not only apply to kids. Adults included too (especially the $5 part).

Almost a month later…

I really need to remember to keep updating this, but it’s just so hard to remember to update everything.

Then again, maybe there is someone who reads my blog, and in my post-absence they think I’ve either gone missing or worse (read: died) and they’ll alert the authorities and cause pandemonium over nothing.

Now even though that’s really not that likely, I’ll still let you know what I’m up to.

Went long boarding for the first time two nights ago, and I went again last night. Probably one of the most fun things I’ve picked up in a while, and I can see myself going out to purchase a long board for the fun of it. Good exercise, and it does sort of feel like I’m snowboarding, which is an added benefit. I’m not crazy yet, but one day I hope to be like these guys…

But for now I’ll just cruise down Lenore Dr. at a nice relaxing pace. That’s all for now, and my one piece of parting advice:

Go long boarding.

My day…

This pretty much sums up what I did at work today. But I think you’ll find that when you really put your mind to it, and take about 7-10 minutes out of your day to focus it on a project, you’ll get a high quality, polished result like this. Beautiful.

This started out as a rough draft for an ad in the Edwards School of Business student day planners for the 2010/2011 school year. But after working on it for a while, then getting bored after working on it for a while, I started to let loose and this happened. Probably for the better, no? I think we can probably just go ahead and send this to print.
